DANA + DARYN | SECRET ELOPEMENT IN A BAR

Don't let anybody tell you how to get married.  You can get married wherever you want, whenever you want, and in any way you want.  The whole getting married thing, only one thing matters, that you get married. You aren't required to stick to any traditions, in fact, I encourage you not to.  The day will be MUCH more meaningful if you get married in the way that nurtures and rejoices in your relationship.

Dana and Daryn did just that.  They got married in the most unconventional and the most THEM way imaginable.  They did it in secret, they did it in a bar, and they made it unique to their story.  Their big ol' secret has now been revealed a year later, so we wanted to shout from the rooftops and share their beautiful story.

At the bar where they had their first date, they had a few drinks, got dressed, and exchanged vows.  We laughed and cried all day and witnessed two people truly being themselves through and through, even though it was their wedding day.  Because you're supposed to get fancy, you're supposed to invite hundreds of people, you're supposed to cut the cake. Well that's not who they were; they wore untraditional clothes, they invited the officiant and the groom's son, and they cut pie.  Their DJ was a jukebox, their wedding portraits were on barstools, and their officiant was dressed as Elvis. It was AWESOME. It was exactly their style and you could FEEL that from the both of them. They spent their first year of marriage in sweet solitude and make it just for them.  We love you guys, we are honored to be your friends, thank you for the pie and the beer and the memories.
