KIM + IAN | NELLCOTE WEDDING

You don't exactly expect it to be freezing in April. You think ooooooh, spring! Fresh cut grass, breezes, flowers, all that stuff. Except when it's in Chicago. Then, yeah, grab your fur coat. We knew the day would be cold, but from the start, we also knew it would be amazing. Kim found us through a random Instagram encounter and we bonded immediately. I think from the start I knew Kim and I would be lifelong friends. She tells me almost every day that we are her photographers for life and I couldn't be more thrilled about that statement, I never want to let this trio go. That's right, they're a trio. Kim and Ian have a beautiful daughter, Kennedy, so we ended up shooting their maternity photos first, engagements second, and wedding third. And please give us all the other milestones, these people are amazing.

Their wedding was simple yet stunning, tucked away at the beautiful Nellcote, a definite sanctuary from the brutal wind. The bride's best friend walked her down the aisle, her other best friend performed the ceremony, and their sweet, perfect baby girl served as a flower girl. It was gorgeous and intimate and filled with a lot of tears. The party was beyond epic and provided us some of our favorite bride + groom dance shots to date. We love you guys and we are so grateful that you welcomed us into your lives for good.
