EMILY + IMOGEN | INDIANA DUNES ENGAGEMENT

I literally don't know where to start.  Well, yes I do, I'll start at the beginning.  Emily and Imogen came to us in a state of panic, their wedding photographer had double booked them (not cool) and by a miracle, found us on Instagram.  Their outpouring of love towards our work wasn't in desperation, but genuinity. We were thrilled to have their day available and to wholeheartedly agree to shoot their wedding.  Our first phone call was something of a lady slumber party, full of laughing and joking and basically acting like bffs from the start. I knew I needed them in my life. Fast forward to a few months later, and we finally got to meet these two.  I could've died. Funny story, we met at a huge, crowded beach in Indiana, and you had to file into the park in your car to pay and get through. We were texting about where to meet and how to find each other, and their car was literally the one right behind us...following us into the park.  Absurd. We had the most gorgeous light and perfect weather, which was a literal miracle since this summer has been rainy and cloudy the whole time. The minute my camera was up to my face, I could've started crying. They were magic. They were uninhibited and free to love each other. In a country full of persecution and LGBTQ+ people continuing to have to prove their validity, it was overwhelming to me to see this love pour out in front of me...and for us to be trusted by this amazing pair to capture it all.  

Em and Im will be our first LGBTQ+ wedding we've ever shot.  To say I'm emotional about it, is an understatement. The more diversity of love that I get to share, the better.  Love is for every damn one of us, and these two celebrate it daily. We love you guys, see you SOON wives!
