I met Katie a few years ago at the Love is a Big Deal workshop, our connection was pretty instant.  She's super, SUPER goofy, and charming, and sweet...I just want to be her friend always.  I knew I had to make my way out to Albuquerque as soon as I could, for two reasons; 1. I have never been to the desert and 2. I had to meet Katie's family.

The Livelys and I adventured all over...I spent way too much time photographing her beautiful boys and eating all the food in Albuquerque.  It was one of the best trips I've ever had and I can't wait to visit again!  Of course, our time spent together had to be celebrated even further...I took Katie and her husband Chris out for some photos in the desert.

Katie and Chris have been married for seven years and haven't had photos of just the two of them since that time.  I was honored to be the one to break that streak.  These two are not only beautiful but they are so in love with each other...they are wonderfully inspiring to be around, they made my job so easy.

Happy Birthday, sweet friend, you are a joy in my life!
