I've always been aware of the lack of diversity I felt we were showing in our work, so I've tried time and time again to introduce inclusivity into the couples we present by asking more and more people to step in front of the camera for us.  When the opportunity doesn't present itself to you, you have to make it happen.  Enter DJ and Victoria of Oak & Melanin, two unbelievable souls who are so gifted in bringing design and inspiration to life.  I'd been obsessing over them via Instagram for years and finally had an opportunity to reach out to them on our trip to the PNW.  We had a hilariously difficult time scheduling but we were able to stop by their house on our way out of Seattle.  Best decision ever honestly because they have FLAWLESS taste and their space was nothing short of perfect.  Claiming they were awkward in front of the camera, they proved that to be a complete lie and I was in awe of them instantly.  We are enamored with the images that came from this day.  We are so lucky to know you and to have captured this season of your lives.
